I have ten years of experience in a wide range of Natural Building techniques, as well as site selection, sustainable materials harvesting, and passive solar design. I have helped design and build nearly 30 small homes and other structures using cob, straw bale, light-clay, wattle-and-daub, timber framing, earthbags, cordwood masonry, stone, living roofs, adobe floors, natural plasters and finishes, and alternative foundations. I provide consultation to owner builders in Northern California on site selection and design. I also teach workshops on cob, earthen ovens, natural floors and plasters, and many other topics, and am sometimes looking for new sites to run workshops. Hosting a workshop is a great way to get on-the-job training and a big head start on your Natural Building project.
