Emerald Earth Workshops
Natural Builders (August)
During the month of August, Brent will lead, instruct, and work with a group of worktraders to make progress on our common house as well as improve some other buildings needing attention. Unlike our usual Natural Building Intensive, this period will include very little lecture time and will be almost exclusively hands-on. The goal of this period will be to get needed work done for the community. The likelihood is that there will be a lot of earthen plaster work - both rough and finish, as well as a pouring of an earthen floor and possibly shaping some cob. We may do some slip-straw work if it has not already been completed by that time.
Brent is looking for four individuals who are excited to work five full days per week with mud and straw doing what needs to be done while getting real experience with earthen materials. This would be a one-month commitment for the full month of August. These worker/learners would pay $350 for the month to cover their food and expenses.
Contact Brent via email (workshops@emeraldearth.org) or call 707-972-3096 if you would like more information or if you wish to apply for this work session.
